Harvested on the 15th May, the 2017 was an exercise in patience. It was natural fermented with 8% whole bunch in one of our trusty milk vats. Pressed after 21 days directly to oak, 40% new, and left to mature for 9 months before bottling in late summer. Only 606 bottles produced.
The dense almost black appearance belies the elegance this wine offers. Packing violets and choc mocha with hints of spice on top of dark berry fruits. Silky tannins, big full mouthfeel, indulgent length.
