Tasting Notes

Intense passion fruit and citrus aromatics. Sweet fruits are balanced by searing ripe acidity with a luscious mid palate making for a decadent style.

Generally speaking I am a Barossa Shiraz drinker. I visited a restaurant on the central coast of NSW. I felt like something cool and refreshing. When it comes to whites I enjoy cold climate Sauvignon Blancs generally from NZs South Island. Having board you with that detail when I tried Hughs and Hughs Sauvignon Blanc I was very pleasantly surprised….so much so the first night 2 bottles were consumed then a few nights later went back for two more with dinner (shared with friends of course) and a single bottle since. The taste was crisp and fresh with complex layers of flavours as time went on. This wine is no les than spectacular…..and that’s after paying $57 a bottle in the restaurant. Well done guys. I can’t wait to visit your cellar door.
