Hobart to Bruny Island Winery Detour

Our cliff top cellar door in Flowerpot is home to award winning Mewstone, hughes & hughes wines with stunning views to Bruny Island

If you're heading to Bruny Island from Hobart, there's a 10 minute detour just past Kettering & Peppermint Bay you'll want to add to make your trip to Bruny Island even more worthwhile!

Make sure you add Mewstone Winery to your list of Bruny Island Things To Do.

If you're coming this far, why not go all the way and experience one of Southern Tasmania's best wineries. Our vineyard and cellar door is perched high on a hilltop in Flowerpot with amazing views over the D'entrecasteaux channel back to Bruny Island.

Mewstone (located just 40 minutes south of Hobart) is the home of Australia's "Young Guns" of wine Jonny & Matthew Hughes and their award winning Mewstone and hughes & hughes wines are poured in top restaurants across Australia, Hobart & Southern Tasmania.

Our cellar door and vineyard has a relaxed feel and our friendly staff offer tastings covering 8 of our best wines to enjoy either by the fire or out on our deck along with Bruny Island as your backdrop.

Planning Your Hobart to Bruny Island Trip with a Stop at Mewstone Winery:
